Excerpt from Chapter 10 – “THE TRACKERS”

Early Saturday morning, while Otto was driving on back roads to Ohio,
Rambo was parking his truck at the entrance to the fishing lodge road in
Lone Pine.

The woods into which he had fired several bursts from his automatic rifle
were one hundred yards away. Dawn was a mere hint in the eastern sky. At
Rambo’s command, his two German shepherds dashed through the woods in
search of human life. Finding none, they returned for a treat from Rambo.

Rambo and Geronimo, holstering their guns, moved from behind the
truck and climbed into its cab. Rambo drove to the woods, parking his truck
crosswise, blocking the road.

Geronimo jumped out, walked down the left side of the road, got
down on his hands and knees, and crawled forward, his nose six inches
above the ground.
