Excerpt from Chapter 9 – “OTTO”

Published May 31, 2018

Out of reach of Chuck’s detectives, Otto’s Magnum sat in high bushes in a
pasture in Indiana. He slept on an air mattress in the back of the wagon.

He had driven back country roads through Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois,
and into Indiana. His preparedness was precise. He kept a low profile. He
never exceeded the speed limit by more than five miles per hour. He
avoided major cities. By noon on Saturday, he was six hundred miles away
from Lone Pine, moving east. On Sunday, just after dark, he arrived in Fort
Wayne, Indiana.

He would be ready for his Monday evening appointment in Columbus,
Ohio.
